All food must be prepared at home. Since we have no facilities to kept the food hot, all food must be served and tasted cold. The only exception might be in the meat or vegetable category. If the student has at his/her disposal a candle-heated dish, these may be used.
No electrical heating dishes please - no electrical outlets are provided.
The recipes must be from a German-speaking country. The teacher should emphasize to the student that the registration card must be displayed on or immediately in front of the food entry.
*Stapled to the registration card must be a 3"X5" card with the student's name and complete recipe for the dish. More than one card may be attached if the recipe is complicated.
Excellent entries may have to be disqualified if the registration card is not found and the student's name is unknown!!!
We would like to make a recipe book with some of the recipes from Winterfest. Please be accurate with your recipes and ingredients.
All food entries must be displayed by 9:30 a.m., judging will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the food may be removed by 12:30 p.m.

All entries must be accompanied by a recipe card. All parts of the house with the exception of the inside supports and the board the house sits on must be edible. Any animals and figures must also be edible. SIZE: Minimum house size (1ength and/or width -9"; maximum house size (length and/or width -24". Maximum height 24". Measurements will be made from wall to wall, with a 1/2" variance allowed. Maximum amount of money to be spent: $35.00. House builders must show a receipt for expenses. Photos of the actual building of the house would be helpful to the judges in determining if the house was actually built by the students. All houses must be built from scratch by students. No kits. This must be a house or structure with a roof on it. For judging criteria see critique sheet - 12.
